Tabletop: a custom GM screen and player dashboard
The tabletop is each member's personal play space: what they would have in front of them at the table. The GM builds a custom screen there, a player keeps their play aids; everyone places their cards on a grid that only moves when they decide.
Cards on a grid
- Place, move and resize cards on a twelve-column grid.
- Collapse a card to a single line when it isn't needed: it returns to its place when expanded, if the space is free.
- Each card has a title, an icon and an accent colour.
- Several tabletops per universe: one per campaign, per scene or per character, each with its own address.
Character sheet fields
A card is filled with the same field types as character sheets: text, numbers, gauges, dots, clocks, multi-state tracks, checkboxes, tags, calculated formulas… Only the linked article's image isn't offered. Each field takes the card's full width, half or a third.
A card linked to a sheet
Link a card to a character sheet, then import fields from it: hit points, resources or conditions show up in the card. The card only keeps a reference to the sheet, never a copy, so values never drift apart. Editing them from the card writes straight to the sheet, if you are its creator or the universe's manager.
A card linked to an article
A card can also point to a Compendium article: its portrait dresses the card, as a side image, a medallion or a watermark, or stays hidden if you prefer.
Locks, archives and templates
- Two independent locks: one freezes the card's content, the other its place on the grid.
- Cards you no longer need can be archived; an archived card can be restored, or deleted for good.
- A typical card (structure, values and size) can be saved as a preset, reusable across all your tabletops in the universe.
On a phone
On a small screen, each card becomes a tab: you move from one to the next without disturbing the layout planned on a large screen. Entries save automatically.
A truly personal space
Your tabletop is visible to you alone: neither the other players nor the universe's manager can open it. If you are removed from a universe, your tabletops are kept and you find them again if you come back. The demo universe is the exception: its tabletops are shown read-only to every visitor.
Limits
- Up to 50 tabletops per universe and per member, 200 cards per tabletop (archives included) and 60 fields per card.
- Tabletops aren't shared: to show something to the table, use the Compendium, the timeline or the journals.
